Integrity in Feng Shui

Feng Shui when literally translated means ‘Wind and Water’. However, we cannot take the meaning literally. When Qi moves, there is wind – it is NOT the wind that scatters the Qi. Similarly, water is redundant without the mountains. This is the balance of Yin and Yang. Yang by itself cannot grow and Yin alone cannot produce. This is the universal understanding. Therefore activating the ‘water’ alone cannot produce wealth.
Many people mistake Feng Shui as a short cut to prosperity. Feng Shui can create opportunities, but it is still up to the individuals to exercise those opportunities wisely. Feng Shui doesn’t promise a heal-all remedy that solves every problem at one go, but it can be used for specifics. You can use it to help mend or re-establish a failing relationship; heal the sick or exercise control over your lives; and of course, create opportunities for wealth.
When a Feng Shui audit is done properly, one can literally see the changes taking place. It can be effective in a few days when the landform is good, or in a few months when the landform is not so ideal.
One thing is for sure: It works.
The basic tenets of the art of Feng Shui are to help the poor, heal the sick, encourage uprightness, ensure the health of descendants and enhance nobility. Just how much of your Feng Shui recommendations can do that? And how consistent are those results? Remember that the results must not be derived randomly. Feng Shui is by no means lottery or a form of gambling.
The core value of Feng Shui and its lineage is about respect. Respect the Art and its tenets. Respect your teacher the way you would respect your parents. Respect your students the way you love your children. Respect your fellow practitioners the way successful businessperson would respect their business competitors. Your actions – not your age – reflect your integrity, maturity and wisdom. It is sad to see one practitioner bad-mouthing another without mercy. The young ones deriding the older ones; the older ones humiliating the younger ones; another group rides on the weakness of others; the lousy ones bad-mouth others to sell themselves better. And of course there are those who prey on the spiritually challenged that God speaks through him in Feng Shui. Not to mention those “Masters” who use pseudonyms to embarrass others or who source information under the pretence of innocence.
There are also those who solicit information from their students, and manipulate their students into their shield of defence. The worst of the lot are the ones who use pseudonyms to sow discord on the various metaphysical forums and through blogs. But we live in a real world, don’t we?
We reap what we sow.
